So.... as 2016 comes to a close, I thought it would be a great opportunity to look back on some of my most recent projects to finish the year with both and and update and retrospective by myself on the work i've done in this year... man it's certainly flown.
So with that being said let's dive straight in shall we?
In terms of professional projects, my Epic Chrono Trigger Tribute illustration comes to the forefront as one of my longest running and most ambitious feats. The aim was to summarize in its entirety, the game which has influenced me and so many others in one huge poster.... and i did it. It just took me way longer than i could have ever anticipated, but after over a year of on and off progress i finished it this year. And not only that, I got posters created for purchase! I have under 20 copies left of my limited first run, so email me directly at: email@example.com if you are interested in owning your very own.
I chronicled my entire progress working on this, videos of which can be found over on my YouTube channel (more of which are still on their way)
Overall, 2016 was a crazy hectic year for me with so many commissioned projects and big things, which has been incredible. The one thing i regret is that personal projects have had to take second place, which i guess comes with the territory and highlights that time management is something that always needs improving. My main traditional art vent was when Inktober came back around, which i'm proud that i stuck to completely, finishing all 31 days and experimenting in colored inks this time, which i think have helped my colour theory improve... But watercolors will be something i focus on in 2017, maybe i'll even use them with commissioned pieces, as i have a lot more traditional ideas in mind.
There's already lots planned on its way to kick off 2017, so here's to lots more fun in the New Year!
Much love to everyone who has supported me through another year of crazy art shenanigans <3
